Gaya and Manukan Island which form part of the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park offer visitors beautiful and unspoiled beaches surrounded with coral reef, colourful marine life, mangroves, coastal vegetation and lowland rainforest only 20 minutes by boat from the city.

     Depart jetty by boat for 20 minutes ride to Gaya Island. Walk on the 2 km jungle trails and study some of the coastal dipterocarp forest , tropical rainforest and mangrove forest. Following the walk transfer to nearby Manukan Island for a picnic lunch. After lunch, relax by the beach, swim, snorkel or dive before returning to Kota Kinabalu.
