Description

     This classic leisurely trek leads you to the summit of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia. The climb via the scenic Kinabalu Summit Trail requires no special skills but it is physically strenous and tiring. Anyone in good health can reach the summit. Climbing Mount Kinabalu is an achievment. Accommodation in the Park is at the mountain resort and on the mountain itself in a spacious modern hostel.

Day 1: Arrive Kota Kinabalu

Meet at airport and transfer by car to Shangri-La Hotel for overnight.

Day 2:  Kinabalu National Park

     Depart hotel for a 2 hours drive through rice fields and villages and over the Crocker Range to the Park HQ. Visit education center and mountain garden, home to various species of plants and flowers. Overnight at Kinabalu Pine Resort or similar. (L/D)

Day 3:  Laban Rata Mountain Hostel

     After breakfast, begin your 5 hours trek to Laban Rata where along the trek you can study some of the species of birds and a huge array of flora that abound in the cool mountail air. (B/L/D)

Day 4:  Kota Kinabalu

     At 3 am in the early morning, begin your final climb to the summit to see a glorious sunrise. Thereafter descend to Laban Rata for breakfast and to the Park HQ for lunch before returning to Kota Kinabalu or airport. (B/L)

Price: Rm 1,600. per person (min 2)

Includes: Transfers and Sightseeing Tours, 3 night accommodation on twin sharing, English speaking Guide, Entrance permits and Meals.

Note: Please bring raincoat, hat, windbreaker, torchlight, gloves, shoes, water bottle and personal toiletries.
